HHEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLPPP!!!!!!!
wondering if I should do a cam swap kit with stall or a Vortech 4GP218-050L supercharger. Its a stock motor with headers and 650 carb. I just want a lil bit more umph. Its a daily driver and I love putting it on the highway. Please provide input on my setup that may help me thanks.

Supercharger... it'll keep the normal driveability of a DD and give you the UMPH you want when you mash it.

i would get a stall that is suitable for the boost and supercharge it. or you can just supercharge it. in that car a cam and stall would be nice also. this is a hard decision. if your looking for good street manners supercharger is the way to go.

A little bit dramatic for a non-urgent thread but okay. One is $4500, the other could be done for $700. Is one $3k+ better than the other? It's so subjective the only one who can tell you what you like will be you, after you've done it.

Since you're running a carb, I would just put a cam and stall in it. It will be easier to tune than a blower and carb combo.

If its in the budget, a blower loves a good cam! BOTH!

Thanks for all the input that you guys have chimed in so far. I really am trying to stay as close to streetable/highway/daily driver as I can due to the fact the miles are so low. I also am wondering should I go with a bigger carb? Buddy of mine has a 750 fairly new, as aposed to my 650, also need input on a rearend setup (gears) with the 3 choices of 342,373,410 with 18inch rims and tires

Last edited by yungbowtieguy; 10-27-2010 at 06:56 AM. Reason: 342 gears not 343s

These engines love cams, I would say a Z06 cam with springs&push rods.

MillsMotorvation....... Ive thought about that as well, but how streetable will my car be after that upgrade? I commute five days a week about 45mins a day, I was under the impression that was so good for daily drivers.
