Default 1982-1993 S-10 In-Frame Headers

With the success of the in-frame 1 3/4" long tube headers we offer for the 1994-2003 (2WD) S-10s we decided to go back and re-design our 1982-1993 (2WD) S-10 headers. We have mocked-up a set of 1 3/4" long tubes and as soon as we get back from SEMA we'll be checking fitment on a few different trucks and then we'll start building them. Since it's a really tight installation we've already found that some of the trucks require slight floor/tunnel mods to clear the headers. It's not a major modification, enough clearance can be obtained with a hammer. We are going to add a template to the installation guide so that you can print it out, cut it out and check the clearance. We are also building application specific bolt-in cross-members. We also went ahead and enlarged the holes slightly in the frame brackets to offer a little adjustability.

I'm interested in seeing what you guys come up with. Would be nice to replace my POS long tubes with something that fits better.

So you have fully in-frame longtubes for the 94+ s10's now? I cant seem to find them on your site. I know you've made the ones with the single tube running outside the frame now for a while.
Thanks

I have current performance mounts with the tubular poly mounts. Would these headers fit?

We are also building application specific bolt-in cross-members.
I would be interested in a th350 crossmember. Would you offer these in your swap kits in place of a 4l60/t56 piece?

Sorry for the delay, I took a few days off after SEMA. The mock-up header is at Husler (Hedman's Racing Division) and as soon they can get it built and the first run coated they will ba available. The 94-03 S-10 kit was one of the kits we brought to display at SEMA.

TiresmokinV8-The headers aren't listed on the website yet, they are available #MR45906 and are $669.00 coated. Please call us to order them so that we can verify they are in-stock when you place the order.

tennerv8-We do not try our headers with other manufacturer's mounts, but this application is ver tight and I wouldn't suggest using them with anyone else's mounts.

ws6ed-We are working on a TH350 cross-member, YES once it's available we will offer it in-place of the 4L60E cross-member in our kit.

Do you have anything for a 4x4 ls swap with out having to do a 2" body lift? Say something along the lines of a Typhoon or Syclone with a ls swap.

No, we have talked about a Syclone kit but I don't think it will be anytime soon. Sorry.

Sorry it took so long to reply, when I was at the other day Hedman there were 4 sets on the shelf. Since they show to be in-stock they'll ship the same day if the order is placed before 2pm and the following day after 2pm.

Smile BRP 13/4 lt in frame for 94 and newer s10

I just purchased and installed these lt hedders for my 98SS s10 RCSB. They fit very good and look good too! and no, I do not work for BRP! After installing the hedders, I went from 12.23@113mph to 11.90@115 just from the hedder change with no other change. Still tuning. I think there's more. I have a bone stock 5.3 with a GM hot cam, holley 750,3k conv,Th350 with lots of suspension tuning.

Take some pictures bro!

Did you use their mounts, and also what trans did you use? If it was a 4L60, how close are the collectors to the servo cover?

Thanks!

They are identical to the late model headers accept for tubes 6&8, but I haven't taken pictures of the early ones. We are getting ready to take pictures of all of our 2011 new products for the new catalog at SEMA,

Here's a build of the late model S-10 headers in a Blazer with our mounts (he built his own crossmember).
