ls3 swap - ls1 rebuild
ok guys i have a knocking noise that i can't track down in my LS1.I pulled the valve cover and the rockers are fine, push rods are straight, valves and springs are good.I know its somewhere in the top end, only thing I can think of is i messed up a lifter...so now i want to do a LS3 swap,i'm not sure where to get it yet as I have just started this brain storm,,,so. any info you guys can add would be great I want it built somewhat,i.e. cam, heads.and I need to know if it will just plug and play in my "00 bird"
after all that is said and done i'll re-build my LS1 and put it in my 4.8
Tahoe (198,000 miles)
the part that gets me the most is my LS1 only has 70k on it and i'm not that hard on it,,,,it's got headers,ORY, a LS6 intake+vally cover, spech 3+ and tick master cyl...if you need any more info to help me just ask..

I just had a buddy of mine put a LS3 in his 2000 TA. He used the Lingenfelter 58x to 24x reluctor wheel adapter box, knock sensor extension harnesses, cam sensor extension harness, and injector harness adaptors. Ill check with him again but I'm pretty sure that was all. You will also need a 90mm cable operated throttle body.
