Default ka-boom

i had alittle bad luck last weekend with my cam only lq4 mustang with the help of a 150 shot of gas...lol...but the good news is i yanked the bone stock lq4 off of the engine stand that i was saving for my 67 camaro build and i'm going to put it in my coupe just to see how fast it will go in stock form and then i'm going to add a set of 799 heads and a smaller cam(dont know what size cam yet)just to see how stuff will affect performance in a real world comparison....and at the start of the new year hopefully i will be done with a 400+ c.i. ls motor to put back in my coupe(soon as i figure out exactly what i want,as of now leaning toward something between a 402 to a 421 c.i. with afr or trickflow heads and some healthy compression)...sorry for the long post and i will keep you updated with the donor motor performance and any input on cam choices or anything else would be appreciated...thanks billy

Dang man, hate to hear the 6.0 let go, I was enjoying seeing how fast you were gonna go on that thing. Good luck with the stocker. BTW, just out of curiosity why wouldn't you put the polluter cam in the stocker since it worked so well in the last one? I'm still collecting parts for mine, hoping to make a pass some time next year

Gotcha. I've thought about running mine completely stock to make sure there are no issues the the car or engine before I pull it apart for paint and then put a cam in it. Not sure how that stock cam would like 1 7/8 headers and a vic jr intake though.

Definately keep us posted. BTW, do you think anything went wrong that caused the failure or was it just all those cast pistons were in the mood for? I'm wanting to put a 150 on mine once it's together so I'm taking notes. How much total timing was in it on the nitrous pass and what fuel? Did you hear any detonation before it let go? Thanks for any tips

Hey btw, are you planning to spray the bone stock motor before you start modding it? Also how high were you turning the stocker on that pass?? Thanks again.
