Not too sure what planet these guys are on...
my LS1 into a 65 impala is probably 5k in so far and not close.
remember you need engine, mounts, exhaust, trans, computer, wiring, radiator, fans, fan controllers, drive shaft shortened, computer reprogrammed, headers (not definitely, but probably). I also needed accessories from a vette and power steering hoses.

There has has to be 1000 threads on what it will cost to ??? The answer is always the same it will cost as much as you make it, crate ls2 w/ all new **** $10k+, find a donor car sell stuff off it could be almost nothing. Then how fast do you want it could go over $50k here.

LS2 cost
I bought my LS2 in the spring of '08. It was a pullout from a wrecked 2006 GTO. I paid $8500.00 for it delivered. (compleat w/ 4L60E trans all accessories, wiring harness, etc. At the time, not a bad price for one. I did shop around. Seemed like rounding up all the stuff needed separately would cost a lot more. With all the other stuff needed, I'll end up with about 20K in an unpainted, $500.00 car by the time it runs.
