Default water temp sensor for oil

dont want to sound like dumbass but do you think an aftermarket water temp gauge would work for oil too as i have a spare one that works fine.

No real reason that it shouldn't work.. !

Usually your engine oil will run about 15-25 degress hotter than your water temp.
