Wat do you mean.. i mount it on the front of the main beam on the cmaro sub frame and replace the front beam with a mandrel bent tube.. im wondering if the turn ratio will work... i can pick it up for 45 buck and it only has 25,000 miles on it

Working out all of the mounting challenges is the easy part. The length of the tie-rods and location of the rack & pinion are crucial. Otherwise you will have bump-steer problems that will make the car behave wildly at different suspension travel heights.

I would not recommend anyone try to engineer an untested rack & pinion installation without a solid understanding of suspension geometry in relation to the steering geometry.

If the length is ok to connect to your spindles it can be made to work. You will have to work out the connections to the stock steering shaft. I used a c4 vette steering rack and steering shaft in my 68 camaro and it looks stock.

BRP used to marked a kit that you can use the late 4th Gen Rack. but you lose the Sway bar unless you use it rear mounted.. but it hung pertty low.
