I decided to go ahead and take it to get powder coated tomorrow. There is a local place that if I drop it off at 8am they will have it done for me by 5p!!! Quick turnaround!

I got home tonight to find ONE eibach spring for the rear... I started looking at the box and it says 1 of 1. So I get on Summit's site and sure enough they are 81.99 EACH... to add to that I paid for 2nd day shipping... on the 4th! so it took a week (weather) I called tonight and they waived all shipping cost except for $17 because I want it here Saturday.. so I'm happy.

who the hell orders ONE spring!?

I ordered one motor mount if it makes you feel any better. Nothing like paying for shipping twice.

The guy that attempted to heat the springs then realized (halfway through) that it was a bad idea... It wasn't me, i'm just saying...

No, I didn't realized that they sold those springs individually. I purchased the Eibach kit probably 8 years ago. Hell, I think it was fairly cheap back then. Though I've been salivating over an Air Ride kit. My only thing is that I've never rode in a car that has one in it. A quality one. Not some bagged silverado on 20's.

Default Bagged and swagged

Nice!!!! That's a really nice Galaxie.

But I'm talking about the handling characteristics of the Air Ride Technologies kits. LIke the "Shockwave" or that system they use on their 66 Chevelle pro-touring car. Have you had any seat time in one of THOSE?

Nope no experience with those but I know the Galaxie handled wayyyyyyy better with the air bags. Partially because they were all separated so they acted like a sway bay basically

That's the opposite of what a sway bar does.

no because a sway bar doesn't let the car lean by putting opposite force on the other side of the car.

when the bag set up being individually regulated the car doesn't roll like it would if the front bags were joined together. if you join the front two bags the air would transfer from one side to the other causing the car to lean even more.

Couild you give any feedback how the ac hookup went? Is it operational yet? I'm trying to find out if I can just use the trailblazer compressor and truck accessories with my existing factory a/c system in my 71 a-body. Appreciate any feedback.
