Default LS2/TKO-600 1971 Chevelle

Well, finally got my 71 Chevelle on the road again after 10+ years. Car was originally a 6 cyl. 2 speed power glide, but now sports a fuel injected 6.0 LS2 with a TKO-600 5 speed. Got the car together Thanksgiving day and drove it from SC to Daytona Beach, Florida to the Turkey Rod run with no mechanical issues (only issue I've had so far is that I've not been able to get the DBW Cruise Control working).
Think I'm going to leave it in primer and drive it until spring so I can iron out any bugs I may have. Car will be Silver, with Charcoal Stripes (match wheel centers) and interior will be White with Gun metal Gray carpet and dash.

Here's a list of some to the goodies I've installed:

2005 Corvette LS2- OE Harness and ECM modified by Current Performance Wiring, Edelbrock Engine Adapter Plates and Headers, Spectre EFI Fuel Tank
Magnaflow 2-1/2 Exhaust System
TKO-600 (McLeod Scattershield, flywheel, 12" Clutch and Pressure Plate, Keisler's Hydraulic Release Bearing Kit)
Front Suspension- SC&C Stage 2 front suspension with Global West Springs, Grand Cherokee Gearbox
Rear Suspension- Global West Lower Control Arms, Edelbrock Upper Control Arms, BMR Fabrication Lowering Springs
12 Bolt Posi with 2.73 Gears....will be changing to a 3.73 in the future
93-97 Camaro LT1 Rear Disc Brakes
DIY Hydraboost Brake System
Electric-life Power Window System
GM power door locks
GM Power Trunk Release
Viper Security System with remote start and window and trunk controls
American Auto Wire Power Plus 20 Wiring Kit
Wheels- Front 17x8 with 245/45/17 Nitto 555's
Rear 17x 9-1/2 with 285/40/17 Nitto 555's

Originally had put a 454 EFI in it with the TKO, but came across a good deal on the LS2, so I sold the 454 to a friend of mine. (Still need to sale the Edelbrock Pro-Flo system). Actually went through 4 engine combo's before settling on this one.

Using the Spectre EFI tank. Have the same Fuel Pressure loss in turns when the fuel level is below 1/4 tank that others have talked about.

I'm using the Autokraft Oil Pan, Corvette Accessories with the Kwik Performance Compressor relocation Kit.

Wheels were purchased from Discount Tire....MB Old Schools

I'm doing a 72 cutlass 442 now. It's also runnin a 2.73 rear end. Is your TKO a 0.8 OD? I would think the 0.64 OD would be way too much gear with that rear.
Why did you go with the hydroboost? clearance problems?

I was originally going with a 454, so the hydroboost was going to help with additional clearance, plus I liked the idea of not having any issues with brakes if I decided to go with a big cam.

I do have the .64 OD, that's one reason I'm planning to upgrade the gearing later.

I'm probably going to move the battery to the trunk and move the air intake to the passenger side later so I can put my washer fluid reservoir in its original location, also.

Well been slow working on the car but here's the latest. Changed the cam out to a Texas Speed and Performance Torquer V3. Sounds real good! Just didn't like having a muscle car with a smooth idle. Don't get me wrong the the stock LS2 had plenty of power. I also painted over the past weekend. Starting the process of putting it back together and need to buff it out. Here's a couple of pictures.
Pictures were taken late this afternoon with the sun going down, so they don't do it justice.

Beautiful car. That body style has to be one of my top 5 favorite muscle cars. Love your color and wheel choices.
