Unhappy LS2 2005 GTO motor......DIPSTICK ISSUE

Bought a 2005 GTO motor for my 77 TRANS AM swap..Got a decent deal on a new CTS V pan I was going to use. I have sold the GTO front sump with the dip stick etc. The CTS V pan DOES NOT HAVE DIP STICK PROVISION....

I have searched the sticky on OIL PANS and some one mentioned there is a HOLE on the pass side of the block......Im sorry I cant see it or I am blind... need some pics of advice folks... How to I get a dip stick on this thing?????????????????

Do a quick search there are threads with pictures and instructions. Buy an LS1 dipstick. There is a plug on the passenger side of the block that needs to be punched out and the new dipstick pushed in. The bad news is if you already installed the new pan you are better off removing it, but there are methods explained in threads to drill the plug and place a screw in it to remove it. I am about to do so I don't have pictures yet.

look like a mini freeze out plug. maybe 1/4"in diameter. have to knock it down to get out.

A small plug is in the way. Use a 1/4" drive extention and tap it out. The stock GTO oil system uses a tube that installs into the oil pan.
