What year? 99 & 00 6.0s had a longer crank that limits your trans choice.
If it's from an escalade, it's probably an LQ9, good choice.

Since it's carbed and going in a boat, you wont need much more than the coil packs and their wiring. Keep the MAP, crank, and cam sensors too.
What oil pan will you be using?

Escalades didnt get the 6.0 until 01 and they didnt get the LQ4, just the LQ9. The LQ4s had the iron heads in 99 and 00, LQ9s werent even made then.

I was going to do an LS jetboat, but a 72 442 took priority.
I sold my LS log manifolds but still have a GTO oil pan and pedistal mounts. If you're interested in buying, let me know.
Good to know it's still in the vehicle. You can confirm it's an LQ9 from an escalade. When I was looking for one to go in my 68 corvette, I ran across a couple representing LQ4s as LQ9s and charging a premium price.

I plan on modifying the schoenfeld sprint/dyno headers to work on the boat. I might need that oil pan though, thanks

Just bought a 5.3. Took calling the gm dealership and giving them the last 8 of the vin to ID it. 2007 motor, looked in the cyl with a borescope and it's clean!
