Default Need Some Power Wire Info

I am nearly ready to try to start my LY6/4L80 swap into my 1972 Nova. However, I am not really sure of the best way to get power to the car itself (fuse panel and such). I was hoping there would be some type of post on the starter that I could hook the car's power wire to, but it only has the battery cable's and power going to the starter motor's posts. I assume it would work to hook it to the battery cable post, but that would also mean the car had power all the time regardless of key position right?

So, my question is what is the best place to hook up the car's power wire?
Any help is really appreciated.

Thanks

There should be a red wire that comes from the ignition switch that you can hook to the same terminal on the starter as the battery cable. That's the best way to power the entire car.

Alright thank you LS1MCSS, that's what I was hoping since that is pretty easy. Is my assumption incorrect that doing that would give power to the car regardless of key position?

Thanks

you can also use the alternator wire. it will be the big black one, should go back to the pos on the battery.
