I tried searching for some info on using the 700r4. all I found was to use a flexplate spacer.

Here's my question. Will it work? Will a TV cable from a older camaro work? Would the Vss be a problem?

you can make it work, you will need an adapter to make the kickdown cable work, bowtieoverdrives carries what you need.

I'm using my 200 4r, which if I'm remembering right is pretty similar. A new lokar tv cable comes in the bto kit. The VSS problem is solved a couple different ways, one being a simple speedo pass through and another being an autometer pass through that will also give you more control of over the TC lock up. I can't remember if my "build" thread has any info on this or not and I'm not on my comp that has all the good bookmarks. Gotta run, but long story short yes it will work and no vss shouldn't be an issue (I don't think).
