Default 2nd Generation fuel pump mounting location?

I have a 1978 trans am that I have a 5.3 swapped into it. My question is I am running a walbro external pump and corvette filter set up. It is currently mounted higher than it should be and it is causing some trouble with fuel delivery . Where is an ideal location to mount an external pump on a 2nd gen firebird? Thanks again!

My friends stock tank we made a bracket attached to the backside of the gas tank straps then mounted it there. I'm running an in-tank setup from tanksinc works great so far

I've seen a plate hung verticaly in front of the tank (from drivers to pass) with a inline pump mounted as low as the tank. Surpricingly it was too bad of a eyesore. I'd probably would of gone this route if having a electric pump buzzing didn't bug me so much. I am hoping my over priced Spectra is ALOT quieter than my buds electric pump for his carb 454
