86 T-top Monte SS / LQ4 Build
Time to do something with this car thats been sitting for a few years!
I was talking with a few guys from work about running the Vamp series and it really got me fired up about the Monte. I've always run the typical 5.7/350T setup but looks like its time to graduate into the LS setup
I really need some help from the guys here on whats best, no use in re-inventing the wheel here!
The goal is to run Street/Strip, definatly not a daily driver (more like a weekend toy during the summer). A/C and heat are not a big deal, rear seats not needed, passenger seat would be nice. I do plan on putting a 10pt Cage in with swing-outs.
Current plans are;
6.0L from a 04 Yukon Denali w/ MS4 and springs
150/175hp shot of Nitrous
4L80e (possibly manual valve body?)
9" rear or 12 bolt GM
10pt Cage
Strip all non essentials for weight
Chassis work (keep it "stock") for vamp series
Any help I can get would be appreciated!
