Question Who has extra plugs/pigtails

Hi everyone,

I have a plug with a broken retainer clip in my harness and would like to replace it. Its the connector for the rear VSS in a 4L80E. Its technical name is a "GM Delphi / Packard - 2-way un-shrouded GT 150 3.5mm centerline sealed female pigtail for CLT/VSS". If anyone has one laying around please let me know. I was able to find it on 2 websites and both charge an extra $3.00 because I only need 1. I can't see myself paying a $3.00 fee on a $3.00 part.

All help appreciated,

Mike

Just check out your local parts store and ask them to look at there electrical parts catalog.. many will have the most common Pig tails..

Buy two? Or hit a junkyard perhaps, but then you'd be paying for gas and time as well as a part.

With shipping it's like $13. It says the terminals come loose so you may need the terminal pliers. $13 isn't bad considering the price you'd get at the dealership for one would be much more.

It looks just like a regular WSS connector though, if you do work on other GM vehicles, you may want 2 so you can make one into a jumper harness for your DMM

Thanks for the replies fellas. In rooting through my car's trunk this weekend I found a small piece of transmission hearness that was attached when I picked it up from the junk yard. I lucked out beucase it still had the VSS plug on it.
