Interesting tidbits I kept forgetting to mention, when I tore the truck down I found 2 lost sockets and a fuse puller and heres where the trans rubbed the cab since the drivers engine mount was broke without me ever knowing it.

Did some stuff today. Modded the frame mounts so they're the correct width so the engine just drops in and moved them back 7/8ths of an inch, Pan clears everything now. Headers fit but I havent dropped the cab back down yet so thats still unknown. Did do some small massaging of the firewall.

Got the cpw radiator/fan/condensor! Still no sign of the engine harness yet though.

Brother came over and ripped into the interior for me so I could weld up the notch and paint the frame but I had to get the column shifter and cable out which took a few hours on its own stupid torx bolts on the shifter bolting it to the column. Had to drill one out.

Clutch pedal is in, gas pedal is out.

Part of the notch burned in. Kept blowing holes in the front side so it looks like ****.

Yes, I started out with mig and gas but ran out of wire within a few inches and since it was the middle of the night I could go out to get more.

Got a bunch done again today.

Put a little monster on my engine.

Slave installed

Its in!

Crossmember will have to be built since the trans mount is about 5" farther back. i tried to take the pic straight in line with the stock mount holes in the frame and the trans mount is about where the first set of 3 holes to the right are.

And just because I think its cool watching cars drive by or into a cruise in and seeing lts through the fenders

Back at it again.

Wilwood master installed.

Dash back together, Going to rock the auto 4.3 cluster for now. Still cant find a manual 2.2 cluster with around 100k on it.

Trans crossmember is built need to grind down the welds and paint it yet

Half a**ed ran the batt cable.

New ecu is crazy small compared to the old black box

Wix 2.2 flex fuel fuel filter

Its been confirmed that if you do welding on a workbench right next to a trash can with old fuel lines in it, It will go up in flames. Haha atleast I know the fire extinguisher works.

I really like your build so far. I would do something with the trans crossmember. I would of waited to get some AG25 gas or took it to someone who has a gas mig. But those welds look HORRABLE.

To end on a possitive note, LOL, I like your build. Keep up the good work.

I'm not 100% but most GM's store their mileage in the BCM not the cluster ... but I'm not sure if the s10/sonoma ever got that before production went out ... might be something to look in to though.

Yep in the cluster for s10s. I really want to get a low mileage one since they are all over the place here for 30-40 bucks but since my last echeck said I had 104k on it, it might look suspicious.

Well seems like I've exceeded my monthly bandwidth allowance for photobucket and the bandwidth wont reset until the 21st so my pics might be out until then .

Old exhaust is out so I can salvage the mufflers. I knew I wanted to do this swap years ago so when it was time for an exhaust I used 2 3" Spintech Prostreets and used adapters to bring it back down to 2.5"

Batt cable routed to the back and secured to the frame.

Headers bolted up for good with new GM MLS gaskets and Percys header lock bolts

You could always swap back to the original one for the echeck deal...

True. Thought about that and I still might do that, Just have to run it a bit so every 2 yrs when I go to echeck it doesnt have just 3 more miles on it since the previous test hahah.

Well since the pics wont work until tues I wont even bother, Anyways I picked up all the fuel stuff, Went with the russell fittings hope they wont pop off. Threw the wiring harness on and found that the oil pressure sensor has been changed. The 08 engine has a round 3 pin plug and the harness which is for a '10 Colorado is oval single pin so I have to replace the sensor. Also Have to call Jared in the morning since my '10 Colorado MAF wont plug into harness since its very apparent they are different connectors so not sure what thats all about.
Also the harness doesnt have anything for the reverse lockout is there any way to wire that up to the ecu??

Time for some updates.

MGW Shifter

Rest of the fuel stuff.

Got the broken cab mount bolt out, Cabs back down and bolted, Driveshaft is in.

Trans is filled, Shifters on.

Insulator plug needs to be narrowed since its currently 8" wide.

BAd a** temporary intake tube my brother made last weekend when we thought that we'd be firing it up.

Vacuum bled the clutch. Compared to my DD 5sp maxima this trans is way tighter with much shorter throws and the clutch is pretty heavy. I like it!
