My partner and I were talking about doing this very swap last night, except using a '63.

Stayed up most of the night looking to see what parts were out there for RestoMod Rivs.....not a whole lot out there if you're doing something other than a stock resto.

I haven't looked too much but thinking about an LS swap with the TCI 6X. By the time I rebuild the 430 and put aluminum heads and intake on plus EFI, it's almost cheaper to go with late model stuff. Just need to rationalize if the amount of driving time is worth going full out. Thought about also going with a Duramax repower but not sure about fitment and added weight. Sure would be nice to have tons of torque but get great fuel mileage. Wise Gm would have made the 4.5L Max. Maybe by the time I get to thatcar they'll have produced it.

Did any of you guys find any info about an LSx swap into a 1960s Riviera? I love the 1963-64 cars: 1964 being my preference due to the ST400 transmission. However, I found a salvageable 1963 Riv for sale in my area that runs & drives but the 401 smokes badly. Since I don't like the Dynaflow trans in the 1963s, I was thinking a 5.3L/4L60E would be a nice package for drive-ability. I am sure it would not be a terribly bad swap to do: just wondering if anyone has tried and what problems they came across. Any information is appreciated.

Default 69 Buick Riviera with an LS2

I have a 69 Riviera, that i am currently installing an LS2 engine with a 4L80 Transmission. This has to be the first LS conversion on this particular vehicle. It's definitely a learning experience.

There's a Riv at Gearhead Garage in Sacramento getting an LS. I'm not sure how far they got with it. I haven't seen it in one of their bays for a couple of months.
