Default '07 Escalade L92/6L80E for $2500? Good deal?

Per my previous thread....looking for a LSX for my wagon.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...good-deal.html

I have found a L92 and 6L80E from a 07 Escalade for $2500 locally.
It has 55000 miles, comes with wiring harness but no computer.
All accessories except alternator(and alternator couple has been cut off harness). He didn't say but I assume there might also not be a MAF or accel pedal.

Does this sound like a good deal.
The only other deals I've found to compare to are Travis' setups for $5500 or so and lower miles. So not directly apples to apples.

What do you think?
Thanks,
Brad

5.3 not so much, Escalade? Pay him before he changes his mind, and it's local.

Be sure you get the VIN of the vehicle it came out of, a bill of sale with the VIN on it, compare the VIN to the partial VIN on the block, and to be safe have your local sheriff or HP run the VIN to see if it's stolen. The sheriff's department still has one I bought.

Be aware that the 6l80 will be a 4x4 unit and have the shorter out put. You have to install a 2x4 output and tailhousing. Or sell it and get a 2x4 unit.

So you bought one that was stolen, are you entitled to the engine after the perp is busted?

Any money refunded?

That bites.

If an engine was reported stolen and the police recovered it, I would expect it to go to the person that reported it stolen in the first place or the insurance company if a claim was paid.

Yup, it would go back to the original owner. A friend of mine got a great deal on a Glock pistol. A bit later the cops came by and took it. Now he's out $300, but at least the rightful owner got it back.
