Default 2007 vortec max

I am thinkng of doing a LSX swap... found a 2007 vortec max for 1500 bucks with 45000 kms on it, all wiring except pcm...

... Is this a good price?.
.... will PCM be hard to find or is it a generic one that engine style?
.... DRW truck take.. will a LS1 or LS2 intake with a DBC throttle body work?..

Hope these questions makes sense... any info would be great...

That's a pretty great price for an truck L76 6.0L with VVT.

Its probably was an E67 ECM. I can't remember. But the E38 should work with it as well.

The intake and head are the same as the L92 6.2L trucks. Its a 87mm TB four bolt style.

The earlier intakes won't work as they are the cathedral port vs the this motor that has L92 heads with the square ports. but an LS3 intake will work on it. I would stick with the DBW be easier.

Keep the truck intake that's on it if it will clear your hood. Save some money. But the LS3 will fit that motor and accessory drive with a few mods.

Seems like a pretty good deal. Plus you save time not having to chase down accessories.

That price sounds pretty good. Now for the bad news, if it's going to fit under the hood of that 72 vette you'll have to swap the intake, injectors, rails, all the front accesssories including the water pump, and the oil pan.

The 1" setback will work. One issue I had was with the Richmond, it's longer than the Muncie. In their instructions, they suggest shortening the yoke to prevent binding on the speedo gear. I simply moved the engine forward with different mounts.
A different trans would not have that issue.
In fact the Edelbrock 1" setbacks move the engine forward maybe 1/4".
The other issue I had with the 1" setbacks was the big 621 bell housing was touching the tunnel. But that's probably due to old body mounts and sagging fiberglass. Again, simple solution, move the engine forward.

Just put one of these with a FTI cam and carb on it in my dads chevelle and it runs really good. Drives like a dead stock car. Untill the pedal goes to the floor.

We paid $2800 for ours it was brand new less computer with 50 miles on it.

We also removed the VVT and DOD

I have a LQ4 with the truck intake in my 70 Corvette with a 73 hood and it clears fine. Gotta loose the truck accessories.

I'm sure I want the 6.0l... just wondering if a 04 would be better as I pretty much have the stndalone harness already instead of the 07 vortex max with all the other crap on it... the DOD and the VVT...

Ours is a carb deal. To delete both you need to change. Top cover, lifters and trays, cam, timing chain, chain cover.
