Default suggestions, who to use for ls1 harness in 68 camaro

i am doing a 68 camaro with ls6 z06 motor and a 4l65, it is a street car, please info on ls1 harness,do i want a stand alone? any help would be great,thanks kevin

Yes... you should be able to read the Sticky on Wiring and Pin in the FAQ.... It is not hard to make the mod's. You can remove any of the connector that you are not going to be using (smog junk, AC, etc).

These harness are just about standalone in the 1st place.. just need to add grounds and power as needed, handle the VATS, and add any of the optional wiring/connector that you want to use (Fan, ODBII connector, Tach, VSS, TCC, Fuel pump, etc), many you will want to use..

Or send it out to one of the Vendors.. (Speartec!) or buy a new one.

http://www.speedscenewiring.com/prowireharness.html has a good one at a fair price. Thats what I will probably use for my 68.

you can also find cheaper ones on EBay. but I would ask around to see who has used the vendor before..

I uses Leonard sparks from chevy thunder in my 69 chevelle, and it was great!! No problems, and he also includes a computer with his harnesses for only $475. Can't beat this deal. He offers great support with any help you might need as well, included also is a great cd with all the info you will need .,

ive used the YatesEFI harness a few times and there very nice. great guy to deal with aswell

I went with the PSI standalone harness. Very nice harness and the customer service is awesome.

+1 for PSI i have not put my harness in yet but it looks good and when i get it put in i will let you guys know how the Tune is on the ECM i all so got from PSI the Total cost for the Harness and ECM was like $700.00 and i think thats a good deal.
