64 impala ls1 radiator question

64 impala ls1 radiator question found a couple companies that will make me a rad for my swap. 1 is Ron davis the other is called Universal parts inc. looking at the Ron davis its a crossflow radiator, now the one from the other company is a downflow.....
i've heard the LS motors need to be crossflow. Is this true??
