Default Update !!

Well ive ben beating the snot out of this engine and it loves every second of it! i am super happy with the power band, and sound.
I had the same autometer tach not working issue as many other people on this site and i did like a few others and it works. I intalled a 4.7k ohm resistor and it works fine, but it does flutter below 1000 rpm.
Got the reverse lockout working too, but only opposite of how it should work. i wired it to my brake switch and the solonoid is engaged until i hit the brake........i almost slammed it in reverse at speed by accident, so that needs to get fixed tomorrow.
Having a heck of a time finding someone to crimp my ac lines, anyone want to sell a beadlock crimper cheap?

beautiful car...and really clean install! Seeing your tunnel, I now wish I would have done it that way instead of cutting down the middle and spreading it out.

how you did you do your clutch pedal? How's it working? Any clutch M/C worries alignment-wise? I didn't catch it earlier in the thread, sorry if there somewhere...

What headers did you end up with? Size of primaries? Did you go stock Vette LS3 or the 480HP one? How smooth is the idle?

thanks,
Jim

i bought the tranny from american power train and it came with the clutch pedal but nothing lined up, so i just did it my way.....ill check to see if i have any pics. The master is on a big angle, but the clutch actally works really good, it was a little mushy for the first couple miles, but it came around and has a good feel, it must have had some air that worked its way out.

i went with edelbrock headers, they fit good, i am pretty sure they are 1-7/8 dia.
I went with the LS376 hot cam 480hp version. The idle is alittle loopy, but not bad at all, it souds mean just idling.

I am getting started on my 65 Swap as we speak. I am about to pull the trigger on the Edelbrock Adapter Plates, and the Energy Suspension motor mounts. How do I know I am getting the right ones for my car? Are you still happy with your plates and motor mounts?

Also on your accessory drive system which did you go with? I bought a LQ4 to put into my 65, but now I think I want to switch to a corvette accessory drive for looks and fit. I just am not sure where I can find the kit and if it will work in my 65 A body.

Default center console

Did you get to use the 65 chevelle 4spd center console with the T56? Do you have any pictures of the interior?

My 64 console just wouldn't fit right on my swap so I made one. The T56 comes up in the center and the old muncie are too far over towards the driver.

On a good note the new console has cup holders and I made a pretty penny selling my old one. LOL
