CheapEST LS engine conversion?
I have a Firebird 3.8L V6 A4, etc. What is the cheapest way to swap to a v8? I saw the budget LS1 swap thread, and wanted to know if there was any cheaper way to do it? Doesn't have to be specifically an LS1.

Unless someone donates the car and/or engine, that's about as cheap as it gets. Shop wisely on this and other forums, craigslist, etc. If it's your first swap, it almost always will cost quite a bit more than you think. It just happens that way. Good luck!

This swap ain't cheap from my perspective.
FWIW, I spent $1500 for my 24,000 mile LS Engine and 4L60E assembly. That was the cheap part.
Even though I've been very thrifty, I've since spent close to that in all of the nickle-dime stuff to complete the swap. It's all starting to add up...
