Default Holley has release some new LS swap parts

Hey guys, Holley has just released a very affordable swap oil pan, I'll see if I can share a pic. The pricing I heard was pretty decent. They have one part number and it's listed for 1955-1987 GM applications which is pretty standard. Looks like it will work in a lot of applications. Also includes the pick-up and other hardware.

They also have several swap motor mount setups available. They have five different motor mount kits, which should cover a lot of applications. Pricing sounded reasonable. They also have a clam-shell type mount like a G-Body might use.

Yes, that oil pan is the RetroLSX / JTZMotoring pan. The bought the rights to it last year. We have been talking and waiting for them release it.

Thanks for the update. Too bad Holley lost my future business w/ their "Street Warrior" LS intake mess.

What kind of price are we looking at? I need to ditch the lh8 pan next time the engine is out...tired of flinching at every thing in the road.

400 seems a bit pricey for a pan

Agreed. If it comes to that I would rather start looking at the race pans and just do the filter relocation or something.

Brand new Fbody pan from the dealer is $260 with pickup and windage tray. Add a few hours for a welder to mod it for steering linkage clearance means cheapest pan option

Muscle car pan kit fits just about everything that isnt slammed and its under $200

Until aftermarket companies can compete with those, these new kits are going to flounder

Some of the aftermarket pans have designs that work better for racing applications. If you need that...the price isn't so bad. I have the mast pan. Not sure I needed it though. In hindsight I would have bought the new f body pan and had it modified. At almost 500 bucks...the mast pan is an expensive piece.

F body oil pan is $167 at gmpartsdirect but their shipping is usually way too expensive. SDPC would be the best bet.

Here is a pic of the pan, it's a nice looking piece. The F-Body pan is great but it does not work in some applications...

I like the Holley pan very similar to a fbody but I've got used to using ctsv and c6 in most swaps and have found all pans with required hardware for way less than 400$. I'm waiting for someone to sell stamped steel pans just like SBC for LSx motors
Yes the stock cast pan in supposed to be structural but IMO I don't think it would make such a big difference in cast iron block builds. Perhaps a cast Pan is necessary in an aluminum block build but not necessarily so with more common iron 4.8/5.3/6.0 blocks

The cheapest is to lop off the bottom of a truck pan (that people give away) and shorten it 2".

Good stuff, but f-bod pan does not fit certain apps. For the last couple of year the only game in town for a cast pan was another company, and that pan was usually $500 in Summit.
