Default Chevelle (A body) LSX P/S pump to jeep box pressure hose

Kind of a long shot, but I'm putting a 95 jeep steering box in my 72 A body Cutlass with an 05 LM7 5.3 truck motor, P/S pump. The original box felt like an old school bus.
Anyone know a good high pressure power steering hose to use with the correct metric O ring fittings on both ends?

You should be able cut and reflare the hose with the correct fittings as needed. Or create new ones with the o-ring type fittings.

Many wil use AN fitting and adapters and SS hoses (PS rated hose)..

I have heard that the factory f-body hose fits but I can neither confirm or deny that.

If you use the factory hose for the LS1 you can cut the end off and use the gearbox fitting on it and reflair it. But it wont be a direct fit

98' f-body pressure hose will fit without any mods, it already has the correct metric fitting for the jeep box.

If you are using the truck power steering pump and brackets either the truck hose or a mid 80`s g-body hose will fit. The bends probably won`t be perfect on either, but with a little tweaking of the bends it should fit right in. I liked the fit of the g-body hose better on my el camino and your chevelle probably has similar spacing. The g-body hose is dirt cheap too ~$15 new.

If your pump has one of those variable steering effort valves hanging off the back I would ditch it. I had one and it works fine with it, but there is no point to have it and the truck hose that bolts up to it is $50.

Thanks, I'll compare the f body, g body, and original truck hoses.
I was thinking about making one up with AN fittings but a stock hose would be half the price.

I actually used the truck hose on my swap. With the f-body acc and my standard gear box. I just cut the end off the gear side and flared it. It comes up and around the top of the pulley then does a crazy "s" type thing and loops into the gear box. It's not pretty by any stretch of the imagination but it works.

I had the truck PS hose on it with the Olds box. I cut the O ring fitting off and flaired it. Now the jeep box has O ring fittings, so now I'm back to needing metric O rings on both ends.

Go to rockauto.com and you'll be able to look at pics of the different hoses, this way you'll be able to see what will or wont work. Then just go to your local parts store and pick it up.
