Default got my LQ4 takeout-have questions!!!

got a complete takeout LQ4 and trying to figure out the lay of the land. Have a few questions;

1st - got the 411 pcm and noticed the are no provisions to bolt this down, how do you secure it?

2nd-Can you relocate the pcv valve from the valve cover to the flat plate under the intake- will this work ok?

3rd- I notice a breather fitting from each valve cover- can this be eliminated?

4th-Can I eliminate the solenoid and breather tube that vents to the vapor recovery system?

Thanks, Scott!

You can make something to secure it or get one of the stock one (S10 or F-Body) and modify it if needed.

2nd-Can you relocate the pcv valve from the valve cover to the flat plate under the intake- will this work ok?

You can switch to a LS6 style PCV which is on the Valley plate.

3rd- I notice a breather fitting from each valve cover- can this be eliminated?

those should be connected to the PCV valve/Throttle Body. If using the LS6 valley cover. you can plug them.

4th-Can I eliminate the solenoid and breather tube that vents to the vapor recovery system?

If your talking the EVAP, Yes.

This is the S10 / Blazer bracket installed in one of my cars...

I like this bracket because it's flat and fits a lot of places. The F-Body bracket is cool too but it works best in a situation with a curve like a wheel well.
