Default Wire harness connections

I am completing a connect and cruise install in a 65 Chevelle using the LS3 and 4L70 E transmission. I am not sure about several of the wire harness connections. Can someone tell me where the following should go? Vehicle speed connection....Input shaft speed sensor....There is a pink wire that says Ignition switch - where is best place to connect ? There is a purple wire marked MIL...where will this go?
Instructions are very vague on connections. Hope I am in the right section to be asking and thanks for any help.

Vehicle speed connection should be your signal for your speedometer. The pink wire should go to your ignition switch so it gets 12 volts in both on and crank positions. The MIL is the signal for a check engine light control.
