Car started life as a 1979 Mustang Ghia w/145hp 5.0L V8. Car lived this way until 12 years ago when it was retired from use and left to die. Car sat for some period of time before being brought back to life. Now it sports a 88-93 front/rear/interior. 10 point cage, all new interior, corbeau seats, full assortment of auto meter gauges, aerospace component 6 piston brakes (front/rear), aje k-member, upr front control arms, d&d coil overs (all around), maximum motorsports full length subframe connectors, 2005 lq9, ls6 intake, dynatech 1 7/8th longtubes, 3.5" h-pipe w/bullets/dumps, built th350 w/3800 stall, aje x-member, fully welded 8.8, moser spool, moser 33 spline axles, moser 3.73's, weld pro-stars all around, 28x11.50x15 et streets in back, adjustable lower control arms, double adjustable upper control arms, umi upper/lower control arm reinforcements, 10 gallon fuel cell, aeromotive eliminator pump (-12 feed to pump, -10 feed to y-block, -8 feed to rails, -8 return from regulator), full painless wiring 12 circuit harness. That looks great! A lot of attention to detail.

Best of success with it.

Just getting started on my turbo for this build. This is my first turbo kit and pretty much my first time to TIG weld. I have a buddy on another forum who has given me tips online, but other then that this is a learn as I go deal (so go easy on me). Went with a B/W S475 T6, passenger truck mani on driver side, c6 passenger mani on passenger side (to clear a/c compressor). 2.5" mild steel crossover, custom merge, 2 38mm wastegates, etc. Switched out the Tsunami cam for a 230/230 turbo cam.

Here are the pictures so far, I will update as I go.

Started with the merge and the drivers pipe:

Then I made the down pipe (will be exiting out the side of the front fascia in front of drivers front tire):

Next I started on the passenger pipe and wastegates:

here is how I have the passenger side tube coming forward (notice the wastegate off into the wheel well)

Here is a better picture of the passenger wastegate (and I am going to make support braces for the wastegates since they hang so far off the pipe):

Waiting for my V-band assembly to get here to finallize the passenger crossover:

Clearance with this giant turbo/down pipe is TIGHT:

View from up top:

Cut out the fender well for the air filter:

Also machined some solid motor mounts for my aje swap k-member since they don't sell any and with the frame mounted turbo I need them:
Stock poly mounts:

My custom solid mounts:

Here they are installed:

I ran out of Argon so hopefully my progress got halted, but hopefully I can finish up the hot side on my free time this week and get started on the cold side.

I'll keep updating this thread as I go.

here are some videos of her last n/a trip to the track. Car has gone down the track too many times to count and drove me home every time. Very fun N/A (basically just a cam and longtubes), went 7.0's every time. Now I can't wait to see what she does with BOOST!

Hey guy, im the one who bought the exhaust from you. Looks like your making good progress with the new setup. What 60' and mph was it running with your 7.0 runs? I finally got mine to the track once and ran 7.3-7.4 at almost 96.

~98mph, 1.5 60's

what ended up being the issue with the ignition?

I actually swapped carbs 3-4 times, and replaced a pushrod, runs good now. I couldnt get mine to 60' where it needs to, it was 1.70-1.75 everytime. Its got a nitrous stall so hopefully its just tight. Also, my 1-2 shift at WOT is very soft, not sure whats up with that. I plan on going to the shop to check the fluid and pull the pan to see if i see any shavings. Overall im pretty happy though for the first time out with a borrowed old holley carb

Finished up the cold side today (still waiting on my 4" to 3" silicone transition for the throttle body and my 3.5" to 3" silicone 90* elbow for the turbo outlet, and I need to order bungs for my IAT and meth nozzle).

Here are some more pictures, I welded everywhere I could on the cold side pipes, there will only be couplers at the intercooler, 1 in each fender, and at the throttle body and the turbo outlet. This was the minimum I could do since the parts have to be able to fit into the fenders.

Still need to cut the fascia cover for the downpipe to come through but want to make sure I like it before I cut that part up.
