Default Is powerbond any good?

I bought a powerbond balancer. I'm told it's either stock or ATI. Is this true?
I asked on another forum and got positive feedback on the powerbond.

I asked the same question on the corvette forum before i bought it and was told it was a good product. Now I'm being told they can cause timing chain failure do to vibration. I don't know who to believe.
