1993 Mercedes 400SEL LS Swap This is one of the cars in our shop right now. It came in with the motor sitting in it.. literally sitting. The transmission is resting on the mercedes transmission crossmember held in with a bungie cord and the motor mounts are some cheap aftermarket parts. We'll be doing a full interior on the car and doing the motor swap the right way.
Done so far;
Removed every interior piece.
Removed all wires.
Removed cooling system.
Removed the motor/trans.
Removed HVAC system.
Removed ABS.
Biggest challenge is going to be the exhaust system because I would like to keep the mercedes power steering box and its takes up any room for a driver side exhaust. I think I'm going to move the motor forward a little and after I took the division out (the wall that separates the motor and the computers/brakes) I have about an extra foot and a half so hopefully I can run the driver side exhaust over the motor so both pipes exit on the passenger side.
What needs to be done;
Get motor/trans mounted.
Rear end.
Brake system.
Power steering system.
Exhaust system.
Cooling system.
Clean up and paint engine bay.
Wire motor.
As far as the type of car and the wheels that are on it.. it's a customers car and to each his own

Ill update this whenever work gets done on it.
If anyone has any advice on a rear end or anything on mounting the motor that would be much appreciated. Also we didn't get a computer with the motor, all I know is it has 241 cast into the heads. Is there more I can do to decipher the motor and whats the compatibility of the PCMs?

Looks to be a 2004 GTO package... should help finding the PCM.
Should be a good swap w/ all the room to work w/. Maybe find a stock one and see how they ran the exhaust for the original v8 engine? Everything else maybe just tie into the original Merc' stuff.

single turbo would be alot easier if you only have room for one exhaust pipe, or you could just do a front crossover and make it na. also depending how close the engine is to the fire wall you could cross over the trans.
