Default I'm one problem away from driving!!!

I just finished my LQ9 swap and it is almost ready to go! I have solved a bunch of problems, but am stuck at the shifter cable.

The shifter and cable are from an 80s Monte Carlo SS (which was never offered with a 700) and I have bolted my 4L60 to the LQ9. FYI a 4L60 is basically a 700R4.

The problem is that the cable is too short and looks like it won't work with the bracket on the trans anyway.

Any help is appreciated.

I just solved a similar issue on my 1984 C4. I used a '02 Camaro 4l60e. The corvette shifter/cable wouldn't travel far enough to shift into all gears. I modified the shifter cable so that it would travel farther. Don't know if you can do the same.

I don't mind getting a new cable, but I want to get what will work and not throw money away
