Cool ls3 or ls1 crate engine

I can get an ls376/480 or ls1 crate engine for the same price after all the add-ons but I am not used to a lot of power in a vehicle so my question is should I go for the ls1 or ls376/480. It is to put into a a gutted 94 camaro ss for a daily driver.

Get the LS3 and if you concerned about the power have a tuner ( or yourself) just dial it back. Reduce the timing and soon you want full power....

LS3.. It has 10 years or so of minor tweaks that make it a better motor all the way around.

My general rule is go for the Best, Latest and Biggest. but if your willing to settle for less. (for what every reason). then that answer your question.

But for a DD.. an LS1 will do you OK... it all depends on what your requirements are..

I think I might know a few people who have.
I put a 416ci LS3 stroker into my 2001 T/A
Here is a link that may have some information for you, your swap is going to be more work with your Camaro being a 94.

Do you plan on a LS3 computer/harness, or an 99-02 F-body computer/harness? Yes I know I left the 98 f-body computer out, it's for good reason.

I am not totally sure I have only been into the auto game for about a year so I was looking for suggestions. So which one do you thing would work or be better for a daily driver application.

I forgot to mention there is no bcm, pcm, or transmission so the car is ready for anything that will fit

As stated above many times. If you are really getting them for the same price then get the ls3!! More cubes and like Oakley said, it's been tweaked for perfection.

Eh... an LS3 harness is probably going to be the easiest, it would pretty much be plug and play with no tuning required. The main problem is going to be getting your gauges to work.
