Default First Start Video-DBW issue??

First start for the ls1 swap. I have the 0411 computer, vette tb 02', and tac module. I have tried two modules and have the same problem that you hear at the end of this video. The motor goes blat! when the pedal is depressed but will idle fine. I have no codes on the scanner and fp is 58 psi on the rail. Any help would be appreciated.

I thought Vettes didnt use a TAC? Does the throttle operate correctly? have someone push the throttle pedal without the engine running and key on and see if it is functioning correctly? Not much help but best of luck!

Volt gauge looks awfully low, is the alternator charging? DBW setups need proper voltage in order to work.

Also sounds like you have a vacuum leak.

The video is right above the air filter which is a little noisy. I did check for vacuum leaks as well. The engine is running off the battery charger since I cannot get the car to come off idle to excite the alternator.

Since you don't have a MAF on there, you need to disable the tac movule codes that set. I think it's a p1514. I bet if you were to hook up a MAF it'll work fine.

Where did you get info that off-idle RPMs were needed to trigger the exciter?

If that were the case, you'd be running off the battery at every red light, no?

Every LS engine with PCM-controlled exciter I've seen has battery voltage at the exciter pin as soon as the key is turned to the RUN position.

edit: you're running the same PCM I'm running in my swap. Where are you feeding the alternator's exciter from, the PCM or a batt and resistor/bulb rig?

Running a 5 pin Delphi Maf sensor.....New to the LS1 but all the GenI stuff I had the alternator came on @ approx 1500 rpm but once excited (triggered?) it was on. This LS is like a foreign language to me. Learned another LS fact about the alternator. I guess I have an alternator issue as well. As far as wiring, Techrod harness, Rodney at SpareEcm did the computer, and the alternator B+ runs like the stock 66 Nova wiring did back thru the horn relay around to the battery. Thanks for the tips...
