Default Quick question..

I'm swapping in a 5.3 into an 81 Malibu.. previously I read that I could just used a vette filter/regulator and run a single feed line.. easy enough..

However, some 5.3s had a return line. Do I just cap the factory return and run a vette regulator or do I run a normal feul filter, and run an extra return line?

Thanks

-Randy

Or you could put an ls1 intake with returnless rail and the vette filter/reg. It'll look much cleaner, and won't need the extra line run for return from the front.

If your gonna keep the 5.3 intake, you dont need the vette filter. Just get a 5.3 filter and run the return back to the tank.

Can do it a number of ways, but I wouldn't recommend just blocking off the return on return-style rails. Some truck rails are non return style and would work better with the Vette filter/ regulator if you are aiming to just use one fuel line. PM me if you want some of those rails, I believe I have some.

Which year vette/fbody had a returnless rail and would I need to swap injectors or can I retain my truck injectors?

My setup was off a 98 T/A. Not sure if you can still use the truck inj. but im sure you can get the ls1 intake/rails/inj. for cheap.

Some people rotate or bend the filler neck on the water pump so it clears the intake, and are able to use their truck acc.
