Default Year T-56 for 2006 LS2 swap?

Guys, What year T-56 do I need to work with my 2006 LS2? Do they have a certain year range or will all of them work. Thanks again in advance!

depends on what it is going into - different shifter placement for the various ones.

as long as it has a GM bellhousing on it it will bolt on and the slave/clutch will work

To be safe. A 98+ F-Body T-56 would usually work. shifter many be a bit back some.

The GTO would even be more back if IIRC... but would work as far as electronics.

True, I was just looking at one a few weeks ago.

SSR (good luck finding one) will work too, but has a different yoke. Then there is the CTS-V which I believe will also mate up without too much fuss.

...and you know (or you do now) that Corvette boxes are in the rear and will NOT work. Gears are interchangeable but most everything else is Corvette specific.

The SSR T56 has a very steep (3.xx) first gear which is not desirable in a Camaro.
