4.3 Tranny from a 94 Blazer...will it handle the power of a 5.3?
Just curious, I found a 4L60e on CL pretty cheap and supposed to be in good shape. I need something to get my car going.
I have the flywheel parts to mate this to my engine correctly so physically I can bolt it on no problem.
Not sure if the 5.3 will blow up this tranny? I don't plan on racing this car or driving it hard...this is more of a cruiser and maybe a burnout occasionally....but nothing crazy.

If you build it, it will be ok. If it is stock you will kill it quickly. I have a 96 Blazer and it is bone stock. It has 230k on it and has been through 3 transmissions in that time and that is driving it easy. Im not hard on it because it is slow and I have other cars if I want to go fast. A 4L80E would be your best bet if you can find one.

I hope there aren't any major differences with what I ended up buying. I do know I need to swap out the I6 bellhousing but I have the covered. I bought a used V8 bellhousing from a 5.3 with the 12 oclock holes.
