Default Anybody put an LS engine/trans in a 55-57 Convertible?

I'm looking for some advice from somebody who has put an
LS/4L60e combination in a 55-57 convertible using the stock frame with
the large factory X-member.

Specifically, how far forward did you move the engine and can you pull the transmission without pulling the engine?

Thanks

I'm interested in this also. I have a 53 Buick that I want to do the same swap to.

Anybody have any experience? I'm using the Street and Performance mounts and the trans sure seems tight in the x-member.
