Default 3.4 to 5.3

Has anyone attempted this and I have done some searches but the thing I am having a hard time figuring out is what to do with the wiring. Any help would be great even if it is just a link I missed

You're going to have to become an expert in auto electric. Read, read, read!

A V6 to V8 conversion might share a lot of the same wiring but there will be lots of cuts and splices.

I think it would be easier if you found a wrecked LS1 car and could get the complete wiring out of it to transfer to your car.

I switched the harness from headlight to taillights from a 1999 it really wasnt that bad. Easy thing to do is mod a truck harness.

No, 95's are obd1. They just have an obd2 port but the pcm is obd1.

They are wired for OBD2, and that helps alot. Just use the connector diagrams & line the wires up on the LS1 harness to the car.

If you have it, use the PCM that came with the engine modified to remove all the junk you don't need. The PCM doesn't care what the engine is powering.

Doesn't he need the LS power steering rack too? I thought I remember you saying something about the angle being different between V6 and V8 cars.

Unless you are completely sold on the fourth Gen revision 1 V6 skin, I would buy an LS car and be done. I'm sure a complete car would probably be cheaper after selling your V6.

Option 2 would be buy a wrecked V8 car and swap everything to yours if you have the room.

I already have 2 ls1 cars, but the more I look into it option 2 is looking really good plus it will save all the nickel and dime parts later.

also after some research at the local autozone I have found that the v6 and v8 cars racks our the same housing for the most part, they list 2 options for suspension for both v6 and v8 with the same part number for both v6 and v8 cars, but must be a 98 or new rack because the lt1 cars are at a different angle

Autozone = fail.

I assure you the LS1 Rack is different from them all..and you will need it.
