Trans / clutch noise during deceleration !? 01 c5 z06 ls6 swap 93 mazda rx7 fd
Well got the car out to do some more test runs and i noticed that it has this weird vibration and sound when i let off the gas and coast.
The noise seems to be coming from the around the bell-housing where I'm thinking it might be the clutch.
I have a ls6 bolted to a 04 gto t-56 with a ls7 clutch.
Would that combo cause any issues?
It has a new pilot bearing with new slave cylinder.
When i give it gas it accelerates great with no noise at all.
The clutch grabs great, with no slipping.
There is no burnt clutch smell.
If i push the clutch in while its making the noise during deceleration it goes away.
I will try and post a high quality video if that would help someone to understand what the noise sounds like.
Any help or ideas on what to check would be greatly appreciated.
Looking like i might need to pull the trans and inspect the clutch as much as i hate to do that.
