Default Mustang swap needs help

So, I'm at the point at which I'm going to burn the damn car to the ground. Every step I take has been met with some sort of BS from my car that no other swap that i've seen before has had.

I did this the original way with modified 4.6 mounts and a 4.6 k-member. The stock k-member did not fit the f-body pan for some reason, so I got a tube k-member, and NOW the damn steering shaft doesn't fit. It hits the motor mount on the rag joint.

I'm using a first generation AJE 4.6 k-member, this is going into a 95 mustang.

Any help would be appreciated...

Sounds to me like you got the wrong motor mounts. I've got a 95 GT with the AJE tubular k-member & LS mounts. The thing fits like a glove, rag joint has plenty of clearance all the way around. Can you post a pic of the motor mount you're using?

I agree with boostnut on the motor mounts. I used the AJE crossmember with custom mounts(just copies of the universal mounts) and the rag joint has plenty of room.

If I remember right, alot of people had problems out of the early AJE lsx stuff. The offsets, or something wasn't right which caused all kinds of fitment issues. It may be best to call them or sell yours and buy a new design.
