Default Where'd the LS1 intake to truck motor thread go?

I swore I saw a how to and everytime I search for it I can't find it.

Also does anyone know how far the truck accessories will stick above an ls1 intake?

Lastly, there is a nub where the fan screws on on the truck water pump. Is there a way to remove that?

I'd almost just go with corvette accessories if the alternator wasn't so expensive. I have a slight height issue in my 4runner and the frame rails are narrow, but I have all kinds of width up top. I just wasnt looking forward to paying for a new balancer and such. Any recommendations? I don't have the power steering pump or alternator yet and liked the idea of using the truck if i can get it an inch lower or so. If it only sticks a bit above the intake I'm good and I heard from camaro guys that there are some mods you can do.

Coolant lines for the heatercore look tight to the truck intake with no body lift. I'm currently looking to use a car intake for the swap into a 94 toyota truck because of this. There is a slightly smaller Alt. as well that gives you a bit more clearance at the hood.

Truck stuff (intake) won't fit even with a camaro oil pan and 3" body lift. This is a gen 1 4runner.

I was going to get a beefy alternator but in all honesty compared to the one one the 22re it probably isn't needed. I would be better off replacing lights with LED's. Which alternators are smaller? I wish I could find a link to the page that had a youtube video on intake manifold swaps.

I've been watching a build were a guy is putting a 6.0 truck setup into a 2nd gen toy truck with a 2inch Body lift. He switched to a 105 alt. and said he gained almost a inch of room.

Awesome to know.mi don't have any accessories or brackets yet. I just know the truck stuff is the cheapest and I plan on racing in the desert so replacement parts cheap are critical. I wish the truck waterpump didn't have that darn nub for the fan otherwise idprobably be ok length wise. NemeSS what have you been using for brackets and such? I have a plasma cutter so if I had something to work off of I could whip them out pretty quick

U can use a car wp with spacers. A cs130 sbc type alternator like the ones used on 90s gm vehicles,silverado,s10,camaro.etc
I got a full complete ls1 intake manifold if looking for one

So the old school alternators are physically smaller? They are cheap and plentiful at my pull a part. I was going to make my own brackets which might mean I could keep ac. A lot to think about. Also my own brackets could mean an easy to add later supercharger.

So does know one know where the thread went that had the youtube video of how to and what all was needed to swap out the truck intake? My LS1 intake is hitting the tubes that connects the head together and won't sit flush. I'm looking for apart number that I can order one off an ls1 vehicle for.

Dont know where the thread is, but it's not all that difficult.
Cut off the idler bracket on the alternator/PS mount.
Cut off the steam tube mount on the bottom of the TB.
You can buy an idler relocation bracket that places it up and to the right of the WP pulley. On mine, I just moved it to a lower mounting boss with a spacer. The belt would have been really long with the Kwik AC compressor bracket.
You'll need to bend the steam tube a little to clear the TB.
You'll also need to bend the fuel rail inlet to clear the coils if you're using an LS1 fuel rail.
Btw, it helps to know what year/model engine you're working with since the TBs and water pumps differ between years.
