Question What is this connector for/do ?

Can anyone tell me what this connector is for. The harness is from my 07 TB SS and it is located along with the Battery terminal connection. Thanks, Tony

Generator Battery Control Module. It is an ammeter that monitors current in and out of the battery to make the charging system more efficient.

The SARVC is "Stand Alone Regulated Voltage Control"

Basically the amp sensor acts like an O2 sensor in a FI system. It provides feedback to so that the computer can fine tune the charging system, to improve fuel economy.
