Default Engine harness help

Going to a LS motor in my 96' LT1 and im in the process of yanking the motor and harnes today, there is a purple wire with a white stripe that runs from the driver side to the connector for the optispark on the passenger side of the intake. does that wire disconnect any where or do i just need to un-pin it at the location.

If its outside of the harness, then its a repair or add-on. What difference does it make when doing a LS1 swap in a 4th gen

Repin the body connectors on the pass fenderwell and plug a 98-02 Fbody engine harness in directly

If it plugs into pin B on the opti, it goes to the pcm. It's for high resolution signal. That's the only purple/white wire I can find going to the opti-spark.

Correct, the only other ppl/wht wires in the entire are for the drivers HO2s. Point being it its external, its either an add-on or a mod, neither make the first bit of difference for a LSx swap as the whole harness is being removed
