Default 4th gen NOVA lq4 4l80e

MY swap is done but I figured I would post on here incase any other 4th gen Nova fans have any questions. I searched for about 3 Months to find a clean body. I ended up finding one in VA. Took about 12hrs to get there from MI, but well worth the trip!!!
On the way home in PA;

Rebuilt 355 as I got it;

6.0 Mock up after I cleaned the bay up. pacesetter fbody headers dropped right in;

Getting closer, it sat this way for a few months while I was remodeling our new house. It was killing me to walk by and see my car but it also gave me some motivation to get the work done on the new house.

Under shot of exhaust and 4l80e trans;

tailpipes I built, I know I have some major cleaning to do and painting on the underside;

I have about 500miles on this setup and must say I will never look at an old school small block the same. Driving and cruising this motor trans combo is better then I ever amagined.

Very Nice, My car is one year older and has just about the same setup. How do you like your stall? ive got a 2500 with the LS6 cam and it feels good, i can imagine with that stall its hard to control the car under 30mph under full throttle. I know mine is.

I love the 3200 stall it doesn't seem too loose on the street and works out great with the hot cam. I almost went with the ls6 cam but wanted a little lope at idle. Idle/Punch at a stop can be fun and hard to keep it on the road. My rear likes to drift towards the shoulder when burning the tires.

The efi is GREAT! I have had a few low11- high12 cars with carbs and I was always openning the hood and tweaking here and there. Now the only time I open the hood is to show it off.

You know, I have never been much of a fan of the 4th gens, but yours has a really good look to it.

Good job on the find and swap.. the new wheel/tire combo really helps slim down the look of the car.. pulling the wheel/tire inside of the body line help a lot!

If you only do something about those crash bumpers.. !

I live in Martin/Plainwell area. Did you go to the Metro cruise? Sweet looking Nova

Great looking car man. I've had a '76 since high school that's fixing to get a whole lot of work done to it.

Metro cruise lot of fun, still too many normal vehicles holding up traffic.

Did you go to car show for cancer, at a medical building, on Labor Day?
I was up there a few years ago, with my prostreet Astro.

My aunt and uncle go to that show every year. They have a purple 69 Superbee, white 73 Cuda and a orange 70 Charger.
