Sorry, cant say for sure. I know some 99-00 truck motors came with a longer crankshaft that was only intended to work with an auto trans. If you do a search here, you can find pics. If it's a short crank the 1050 flywheel should work as far as I know.

Great info. Where was all of this when I was setting mine up years go I did basically the same things except I used a Lakewood scatter shield because of the clocking on a Chevy II. One thing I did differently was to install a 40 tooth reluctor wheel on the tailshaft of my Muncie. I got the reluctor from Jags that Run. It clamps onto the tailshaft between the reverse gear and the speedo gear with a little shim stock. Then I drilled and tapped the extension housing for the VSS. Works good and the PCM likes it.

I was trying to do something similar in the T10, but the odd tailhousing of the 82 T10 I had was cast for a torque arm attachment. It had a raised floor through the entire housing. That left no room for evan the smallest reluctor I could find. I was considering using the ouput flange splines but figure the bigger reverse gear would have a greater output voltage (higher rotational speed) and wasn't sure of the ecus sensitivity.
If you have a pic of your reluctor mounted on the Mucie shaft or the vss on the housing, feel free to add them here.
Good to see another old school trans behind an LSx.

I looked at this thread a few months ago and was easily able to find this flywheel, but now that I want to buy it, it looks like it is no longer made/carried by the large vendors.

Anyone else know whether this is true?

I ordered it through them even though the shipping was almost $20, but I am not sure that I am going to get it.

Oreileys still lists it as available. You can try other parts stores or the GM dealership. Application would be an 05 Silverado 4.8 1500, or 6.0 3500.

Yeah, like I said I ordered, hopefully I get it. I am trying to do a budget swap into another car as it will be a DD most likely.

I have this same flywheel yet to be installed, one thing is that it's HEAVY probably like 65lbs or so, not real ideal for high RPM usage.

My local Oreilly's had a bunch on the shelf (I picked up one) and indicated they have em at their warehouse.

Are we talking total weight (Flywheel + Clutch kit)? The flywheel feels like weighs about 25lbs.

The flywheel is 26lbs (according to my uber accurate bafheoom scale).
The pressure plate is another 20 lbs.

Hmmmm . . . so with the clutch disk and bolts, we are looking at ~50lbs . . . . not bad for the outlay of cash.

I got a shipment notification today so I know I will get one now, but it is strange that other other places I found it before don't show it available anymore

I have a sachs 1050 flywheel for my turbo'd LQ4. Im using this because of its thickness to work with my Muncie. Im looking for a clutch to match this flywheel that will handle about 800+Hp. Im running an auto gear M22 tranny with 1-1/8" 26 spline input shaft manual clutch linkage.

Just for fun I tried my lining up my old SBC clutch to this flywheel, it looks like the bolt pattern is the same, but the pressure plate did not line up correctly.

What are my high horsepower clutch options for this flywheel? I prefer a twin disk for a lighter pedal. I plan to run slicks at the track.

Was your old clutch 10.5 or 11"? 153 or 168 tooth flywheel?
Brw, at 800 hp, you're pushing the trans as much as the clutch.
