whats the lift on your cam? Oh and how much did sikky charge for the wiring harness work? What radiator exactly?

Any other unexpected problems? I know you had to run the aftermarket tach, any chance theres one that can fit in the factory bezel?

Saving this thread Gonna need it in a month or so

231/236 112 cam . The rad is from summit it's a lsx dual pass rad. It's the only one that can keep the temp down allthe time. Sikky charges 550 for the harness. I would use chase bays harness. I had to rework some of my harness after I got it back. Some of the issues were heat sat. On the starter from lt headers. The heating issue that the rad fixed, went through three rads. 3". Exhuast was hard to run nice all the way back but thanks to a local shop he did it perfect. Had to use a tach adapter and no I couldn't fit any kind of gauge in the cluster. I tried four different kind and sizes. Let me know if you have any issues or need help with your build. Also run heat cover on clutch line and go 4an. Last make sure your do the drill mod.

Much thanks for all the guidance! I wish someone could figure out a nice tach that's somewhat hidden! I know your cam was a 231/236 but do you remeber the intake and exhaust lift? How's the low end power with that cam? Highly considering have pat G custom spec me a cam. Oh and did you ever get that car weighed??

I have terrible gears. I shift out of 4th at 140 mph. Looking into getting better gears.

Yeah its 3.54 gears. It drives perfect. It has great power through out.
Yeah when I was at the track first pass I spun all the way to fourth. Damn street tires. Next run we launched in secound gear and ran 13.01 @ 128 MPH/ .493 RT. Don't remember 60' but wasnt very good.
Still spun a little in 2nd. I ordered mustang saleen rims 10 wide and will put some MT tires and go back. Looking for 11 flat if I dont rip the rear end out or kill driveshaft.

Always loved the G35 but, with the LS platform? It does not get any better for a conversion. Love it!

If you don't mind me asking, roughly how much did you have tied up in the conversion when it's all said and done? My next car is going to be a G35 and I would love to do something like this down the road.

nice build. Love a red g35. I am about to get this same swap underway for my 350z. The only thing that is scarying me is the wiring. I have heard the sikky wiring is not all that great, and wiring to me is like a whole different language. Any complaints about your wiring? I wonder if chase bays is making better progress because i have yet to see a g35/350z with ls1 and chase bays wiring

04 g35 sport 10900
Ls2. T56. 4500
Heads cam clutch flywheel intake 3200
Exhaust 600
Gauges. 400
Sikky kit 4700
Rad lsx dual pass 180
Misc ( fuel pump ,lines) 220

I have had problems with sikky harness and a few others I've talked to. Evap delete, check engine light. I've talked to Logan at chase bays and they sound like good people. Don't know about their work but from what I've seen and heard they are very good and the harness looks great that they do. If anyone has any problems with their build ask me any questions. Ive been through every problem imaginable with this build. Very happy with the results.

Are you still running the stock final drive gear (3.5)? How does that feel? Do you feel the 4.08 fd would be too short? I am pretty most poeple on this forum with fbodys an vettes like to go 4.10 and higher.

How many miles were on your G35 when you got it, 10,900 seems like a hell of a deal for one. Any idea why they aren't able to translate the signal to the stock tach? I mean it has to be possible somehow...
