the easy way to go about with the swap is get aje k-member and mounts. they also carry the trans x-member. get a set of 302 or 351 long tube headers, cut the ford flange off and weld on ls flanges. i used 302 headers. drive shaft will have to be made. are you planning on using power steering? if so there is a valve or fitting on the gm pump that needs to be swapped. the truck accessories should fit under your cowl hood. the ford radiator can be used or you can use a radiator from like a 98 camaro. as far as which route you go as far as carb or efi, you have several options for each. let me know if you need any more help. i have done a 89 hatch and a 94.

maybe someone else will chime in but i think you will need the flaming river manual steering rack and a different steering knuckle.as for going efi, i don't know the cost. for carb, intake $269, box $309, a good carb preferbly a double pumper, and a return style fuel regulator $70. u can get all these from street side auto.

did you use the stock steering shaft with the 302 headers? if so, did you have to remove it to install the headers then put it back on?

I'm doing my swap on a budget as well. Taking me quite some time, but its almost complete. Should have just under $10,000 in the ENTIRE project. including buying the car.

+1 for Psi's harness. Easiest thing on the whole damn swap was wiring that up.

And do a search, every single question you can think of can be answered instantly if you do a search.
