F-body headers and Y-pipe on 68-72 A-Body
I know that F-body long tubes will fit this application, but will an F-body y-pipe clear the transmission crossmember? I have a set of Pacesetter LTs if that matters.
I am debating on going true dual (3 inch x into 2.5 inch mufflers and tailpipes) or single exhaust (3.5 inch dumped at the axle or split into 2.5 tailpipes) on my Chevelle wagon. I plan on going turbo in the future so I was thinking that I could keep more of the exhaust by going with a big single vs going with an x-pipe and two smaller mufflers that I would have to replace when I go FI.
Any input would be greatly appreciated!
