Default Need some help with my 02 Denali. Simple DBW stuff

I just got through installing a 5.3 into this 02 denali. Well I'm installing the lq4 intake and DBW TB setup on the 5.3. My problem is the PCM. I need one that will run a 5.3 and also that will work with my TAC module that's in the Denali now.

From what I've searched and read. I can only use 01-02 suburbans, escalades, and some silverados.

Any input on this before I buy a PCM.

Why not just get a mail order tune for the stock PCM? I'm sure someone out there can retune it for a 5.3 for less than $150.

Well I can get a PCM for $60. I did think about just having the lq4 PCM reprogrammed but figured this would be a cheaper alternative.

A junkyard PCM would likely still need the VATS reset and that ain't cheap, wether the dealer does it, or you get the PCM tuned.

It's *supposed* to do a VATS re-learn itself, but I never had any luck with that.

Alright so an update on this. For anyone reading my particular lq4 6.0 pcm in my denali did not work very well with the stock 5.3 engine. When we started it it went straight to 4krpm and stayed there. I then started flooring it to see if it would help, it did nothing but trip the reduced engine power light. So looks like I will have to buy some credits for the 6.0 pcm and put the 5.3 parameters in it.

This is just some info for anyone out there doing the same thing as me.
